Vanilla - a basis of life in Madagascar

In the Mananara region, vanilla provides a livelihood for the farmers who live in the rainforest. The organisation "Association des Producteurs Mananara" was formally founded in 2003 and serves 20 communities. The vanilla cultivated in Madagascar is called bourbon vanilla.
