The cocoa which is used for the AMARRÚ®-Chocolate exclusively hails from Fairtrade projects in the Dominican Republic as well as Peru. These are mainly Trinitario cocoa beans. The modern processing centre YACAO SA, a project of PRONATEC AG in the Dominican Republic, was able to be built due to socially responsible investors.
