As a matter of principle, PRONATEC does not purchase raw materials from anonymous traders or markets, but rather as directly as possible from farmers. In the areas of sugar, cocoa and vanilla, PRONATEC has gone one step further and has made a name for itself with its own projects. PRONATEC employs its own agronomists, engineers and administrators in Latin America. PRONATEC’s customers benefit from the company’s strong presence in the growing areas in several ways:

• Product quality can be directly monitored in all processing steps, storage and transport.
• Even unusual customer requests can be met.
• Traceability is guaranteed at all times.
• PRONATEC has a direct link to the source and can convey important information on logistics, quality assurance and organic or fair-trade inspections quickly and without red tape.

Our partners in the growing areas also benefit: PRONATEC offers them a binding commitment to purchase their crops and pays them in advance. The producers also benefit from the investments made, the jobs thus created and the extensive know-how transfer in organic farming, certification, production, quality management and logistics.
